Furtherity or dematerialization? Ancient textures and modern codes for robotic and cybernetic technologies

The first edition held in 2017 of the philosophical convention dedicated to robotics has attempted to offer a broad overview of the ethical and philosophical questions that accompany the robotic revolution. This year’s edition will focus on the different forms of philosophies that support the human-machine relationship. The themes of the conference will therefore be both the dystopias and the utopias that underlie the posthumane, the transhuman and the new digital humanism. Tracing back the path of these narratives will allow us to find not only in European humanism, but also in theological, Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions a series of keys that are not only accredited but capable of deepening hermeneutically and critically the already present future.
